About Casa Ferado
Every great voyage begins with a small flame
Casa Ferado is a luxury candle house founded on that belief. Each candle turns a moment at home into the start of your next voyage: a new chapter, or the leap you’ve been waiting to take. Four candles, one flight, each composed and hand-poured by its founder in New Jersey.

THE FOUNDER
FERNANDO CARDO
I was born in Córdoba, Argentina, into a family with Italian roots, where fire means gathering: asado, mate and long conversations around the flame.
I spent almost 25 years as a designer, the last of them at a tech company in New York. Leaving that job scared me, but I kept feeling a different kind of fire, the one that comes with an idea you can’t let go of. I followed it.
Casa Ferado (CAH-sah feh-RAH-do) means Home of the Bold Voyager. Casa is the Spanish and Italian word for home, my answer to the French maison. Ferado is Fernando without its n’s, the name my husband and I share.

The making
Scent comes first
I took perfumery courses at Pratt Institute in New York, kept learning on my own, and compose every fragrance myself. Each one starts with a feeling and a mood board, pairs a place in Italy with a place in Argentina, and goes through testing, often hundreds of trials, before the balance is right.
Then I pour every candle by hand: soy-coconut wax, phthalate-free fine fragrance, a cotton wick held straight by a wooden clothespin while the wax sets. I design everything around the scent, from the label to the box and the booklet inside. I chose heavy recycled glass, at a higher cost, so the vessel stays in your home long after the last flame.

The voyage
The Voyager Collection
Our logo is a hot-air balloon rising on a candle flame. That flame is the one you light at home, the one that lifts the balloon, and the one you feel inside when a new idea sparks.
Each candle is one stage of that flight: Coraggio, the lift-off. Alegría, the ascent. Pausa, the drift. Abbraccio, the landing, which sets up the next leap.
I make these candles for the life I’m building, and for anyone building one of their own.
Every great voyage begins with a small flame.
I hope one of them starts yours.
